Last week I wrote a post describing our new podcast as well as the direction of this new site. I am diving into it a bit deeper here in our first episode.
When I started this site, it wasn’t to start a new, third podcast. But if you know me, I am very fluid and often find that an idea rooted in a single thought can spread like wildfire.
Digital Marketing and Content Marketing. What’s Up With That?
This is not the first site or podcast on these two subjects. Why add to the mix? Because it’s constantly changing. And new business owners are adapting to the process for the first time.
Have you ever seen a title of a post and thought, How can they write about this topic again? Or maybe you have a moment of cynicism and think, Isn’t this just common sense? But go back to that time when you started and you didn’t know. Or perhaps, you need a fresh, new perspective. Whatever the case, as long as it’s relevant to the times, it will be written or talked about. Over and over and over.
Can We Add Something Different Here?
The answer to that would is, what do you define as different?
Yes, we will be focused on these two topics as they relate to WordPress. Tools and even methods will be a bit more specific to your WordPress site.
Some of our podcast guests have created products or services to help you. Others will talk about how they are using these tools. In any case, we will find creative ways to pull out the thoughts from deep within their brains to help you.
The Why is Key
As much as we tend to focus how to do something, or how someone else did it, my long-time approach with the why overrides that. So the first question will always be why
By asking why, you can learn a lot. It takes you into a deeper understanding of how a product or service meets a need. And by knowing this, you have several avenues for finding that solution. And of course, the why naturally leads to the how.
It’s Not All About Products and Services
There are plenty of platforms out there for people to market their products. What we want to do here is bring in the digital and content creators who walk the talk, people who have a passion for educating and helping our listeners benefit from the lessons they have learned.
I hope you will join me every Wednesday, or at least download this podcast to fill some time as you are doing the dishes, taking an afternoon walk, or fighting traffic. That’s the beauty of podcasts.
